Has great shops and a good variety to choose from. Most shops are decent sizes. Had a great atmosphere not too busy but not empty at all. It has all the major retail high shops which can be rarity in most areas. Banks branches are present here which is a bonus. Car park is a good size and plenty of spaces but not the largest spaces to manoeuvre. Large cars will struggle through the tight lanes. Food shops are better on the high street and a few in the shopping centre that have a decent menu. All in all this shopping is a blessing and hopefully the local will continue to shop here to help the local area!

Really great shopping centre with a great variety of stores. There's something for everyone! Shopping centres aren't usually very sensory friendly, but The Glades actually has something in place to help neurodivergent individuals with shopping more comfortably. They have a place where you can borrow some noise cancelling headphones, a sunflower lanyard, communication cards and a few other trinkets to help with how overstimulating shopping centres are. I did not personally collect the kit (I was equipped for the occasion) but it was a very nice and inclusive idea, so kudos to the people who made it happen!

Large late C20 ( 1991 ) mall counts among the top-end of Greater London’s portfolio of regional shopping malls. Spacious, bright and designed with a timeless under-stated restraint, still managing to look contemporary and relevant. A credible presence of familiar “high-street names”& brands, impressive parking and pedestrian access together with high occupancy rate, clean and well-maintained interior, resulting in a successful and appealing consumer destination meeting the needs of the local community.

It is unclear exactly what is going on with the Glades. It is always clean. However, the new shops that have been appearing lately are always empty!! Partly due to the massively over priced products on sale. The rent for units is so massively inflated (which has been the case for so long) but now there are so many empty units, and then the units that are "working units", are full with luxury brands that not many people can afford at this time, (during a cost of living crisis.) The old Debenhams part of the building is still standing empty and Superdrug have recently moved down into the units where the Disney Store and Game used to be. (Not actually any point to the move, unless they are trying to make more space next to the old Debenhams units of the building.) There is also an odd shop down by Boots on the ground floor that sells what they describe as "Retro" goods but is actually overpriced tat! Perhaps they are trying to keep teenagers out of the Glades by renting space to the overpriced shops, plus the shops just selling tat? It is certainly not the Glades that it used to be, whether that is a good or a bad thing, I don't know. What is clear is that the owners of the Glades are certainly contributing to the "death of highstreet shopping," by out pricing reasonably priced shops!!

I've been visiting The Glades regularly for a year now and I have to say that I love it! It has a great selection of shops, styles, and interesting finds. There's something for everyone! I can't believe we even have a Miniso there now too! How exciting!✨️😊 Jan2026: Even more great finds at the Glades. It's always a great place to shop or browse for ideas and inspiration!
