Roma - Fiumicino

Rome Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo da Vinci International) is hands down one of the best airports I’ve traveled through. It’s beautifully designed with modern flooring, sleek architecture, and a well-thought-out layout that makes it incredibly easy to navigate. Whether you’re a frequent flyer or a first-time visitor, everything is clearly marked, and getting around is effortless. One of the highlights for me is the incredible selection of shops and dining options. From high-end Italian fashion brands like Gucci and Bottega Veneta to duty-free stores with a fantastic selection, shopping here is an experience in itself. The dining options are equally impressive, whether you’re craving fresh Italian cuisine, sushi, or even a quick coffee and pastry, there’s something for everyone. They even have a huge Verdi gelateria!!!!! They also have a huge section for co-working only. They have indoor playgrounds and pianos. Beyond the aesthetics and amenities, the efficiency of this airport is worth mentioning. Security and passport control are well-organized and move quickly, making connections and departures stress-free. The airport is also impeccably clean, with plenty of comfortable seating and charging stations available. Overall, Fiumicino combines luxury, efficiency, and Italian hospitality seamlessly. It’s not just a transit hub, it’s an experience, and one I actually look forward to every time I fly through Rome.

A relatively very busy airport but they have put efficient ways to make it easier for tourists. You do not have to put your items out in security the reader can scan it without having to take out liquids/electricals out of the bag. The different terminals are not that far from each others. Conveniently close to trains and buses where you can get tickets right as you exit or as you get your bags. There are also a sufficient number of lounges you can go to.

Big airport, modern and nice. Free Wifi.WC are clean and cozy. Take care if you go to gate A, you have 12 min walking. Many shops with all brands. Food everywhere, but go with time as gates are faraway. Security and Passports check points are quick.

Constant inflow and outflow of passengers. Clean and spacious. Seating available on upper floor for those who arrive early before counter opens. Toilet is a walk away. There is a walkway that connects to Terminal 1, rest rooms etc. Basic food outlets and a pharmacy caters for immediate needs at terminal 3.

We had our flight from this airport, Terminal 1 to Delhi, it was Italian Airways flight. The terminal is very huge and there are a lot of shops here. Big brands have their outlets here. The checkin and baggage drop was seamless and fast. We could also do last minute shopping and pickups. Only negative was crowd management i would say can be better, there are shortage of places to sit or wait. Otherwise everything was perfect.
