If we heard about the reviews sooner we would’ve changed hotels however peoples reviews are mixed some are good some are bad but my experience overall was great we went to the rooftop bar who made fabulous cocktails. Our view was amazing and room service was quick.The only thing that I wasn’t impressed with was the blinds weren’t working they had stains on curtains the shower flooded the bathroom the window didn’t shut which meant I was freezing all night but apart from that I liked it. It’s a hotel that’s overpriced. If you want a hotel with low expectations this is for you.

We stayed at The Empire Hotel for the week of our wedding. When checking in we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we've been given a complimentary room upgrade. The room (and the hotel as a whole) was gorgeous and clean. The dresser and closet were on the small side but we made it work. The free water is a big plus, many hotels charge for bottled water, but you can just go to the front desk and ask for some. All of the staff were so so friendly and always showed a smile. As a gossip girl fan, I had to go to the roof and try the namesake drink as well as take in the BREATHTAKING views. This hotel is in such a fabulous location that you can get to anywhere you need. Not even a 10 minute walk to central park and 30 minutes to reach practically anywhere by sub. It is surrounded by some of the most delicious bars and restaurants! (We highly recommend Joanne's). All in all our stay was so magical. Thank you, Empire, for playing such a big part in making our wedding so memorable, stress free, and stunning.
