Bergamot

Bergamot is now mainly cultivated in Italy, in Calabria to be precise, where it is used to produce essential oil and to flavour teas and confectionery. Bergamot is also used in the perfume industry, where its essential oil is appreciated for its refreshing, tangy and slightly spicy fragrance.

Bergamot sorbet is soft and creamy, texture literally melts in the in the mouth. The intensity and delicacy of the Italian citrus fruit leaves a refreshing and subtly tart note.
