Coconut is the fruit of the coconut palm tree, a specialty of Sri Lanka. It has also been introduced in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Ivory Coast, Fiji and the Philippines. Sri Lankans say that coconuts have as many uses as there are days of the year..which is very close to reality!
